I'm Wendy and I'm a portrait photographer based in the Dallas area. I absolutely LOVE my job and feel so blessed to be able to do what has always been my greatest passion! And I consider it a great honor and priviledge to help my clients preserve the memories of their children forever!

I know on this day of thanks, this gorgeous little girl’s family is so thankful for their new little blessing. She was such a good little subject for me that day. I don’t think she made a peep the entire time! Even when she was awake, she was just so calm and serene, looking around and taking it all in. Such a precious little girl, and so very loved! <3

Up all night the night before + a tummy full of formula = one VERY sleepy baby. Hayes did not make a single peep his entire session! And when he was awake right before eating, he was so calm, quiet and just taking it all in. Such a sweet boy. He was so cooperative that I ended up getting to do much more than I had even planned with him. That is partly why this sneak peek is so large. And also just because he’s so precious I had trouble deciding my favorites.

I will be out of the office at a lighting workshop, and then I’m taking some much needed vacation time. All in all, I will be out July 8th through August 1st.
I’ll leave with you with a couple of pics of a cutie from a recent session. This is Miss Heather, and she just turned 1! Seems like I just did her newborn pictures. Where does the time go?

The gorgeous little guy was a joy to photograph. He always gave me a run for my money when I was trying to get him to sleep, but once he fell asleep, he was OUT and let me do pretty much whatever I wanted. So many good ones from this session, I had a hard time choosing my faves. As a result, this peek is a little bigger than normal.

This was SUCH a fun session! Walt has been coming to me since he was a newborn, and his mom always has something fabulous planned for his shoot. This year, she wanted to honor some of the men in Walt’s family tree by having his photo done with some of the hats that these men wear/wore. I LOVE a session like this that gives me a theme to work with and challenges me. I set out to find locations for each of the different settings that we were envisioning. Amazingly, I found everything I needed in only one location: Storybook Ranch in Mckinney. They literally had EVERYTHING we were envisioning. Not only that, but Denise was absolutely fantastic to work with. For photogs out there, you can’t go wrong with this location!
Walt did a GREAT job during his session. His mom was so prepared with wardrobe and props. Plus she had a fabulous surprise for Walt at each outfit change. Without those treats, things could have been difficult with a 4-year-old and 5 outfit and setting changes. Mom, you are a dream client! 
Now, on to Walt’s peek. It’s a huge one, because the session was huge!
The first hat, a fedora, belonged to his Great Papa Emmett Shug Wilkins, who was a barber in his day.
Next is another fedora; this one belonging to Walt’s Great PoPo Forrest Hower and PeePaw Walter L. Farrington, Jr, who were businessmen. This first one was actually an exposure test shot, but it ended up being one of my very favorites.
Next is a cowboy hat and work gloves which belonged to Walt’s Great Grandpa Luther Fenton. Also, meet our live prop, Rebel.
I LOVE this next one, especially processed in a vintage style. <3
Next are baseball hats belonging to Walt’s dad.
And last, but not least, is a fishing hat which belonged to Walt’s Papa Fred Fenton.

WOW – time always has a way of getting away from me. I blink, and now Cole is already 1 year old! This is one happy little guy with smiles and giggles that are absolutely infectious. I wanted to keep him! Happy Birthday Cole! I’m so glad you came back to see me!
How has it already been 1 year? I seriously cannot believe it. Riley is always so fun to photograph – she’s wonderfully beautiful and just can’t help but be cute. Happy Birthday Riley! I’m going to miss seeing you every three months. Make sure Mom brings you back soon!

I’ve said it before – I’m a full-time mom first, and then a photographer. That’s why it’s so exciting to be featured on one of the blogs I stalk, Moms With Cameras! I was featured a few weeks ago, and BECAUSE I’m a mom first, I’m just now getting around to blogging about it. LOL In the meantime, since my feature went up, two of my other inspirations have also been featured, Angela Weedon and Carrie Sandoval. WOW – such amazing company I’m in!
